Jolie

Jolie
Jolie is a senior Toy Poodle. She came into our program when her owner suddenly passed away. She was a frightened little girl who weighed about 5 lbs. At 12 years of age she has a cataract in her left eye and a small one in her right eye. But she has no problem seeing. She was weak in her front legs and not real stable when she walked on slick floors. She also has a grade 3 heart murmur and was in bad need of a dental.
But the one thing she did have was a kind spirit and a don’t give up attitude. She put on weight and became stronger and was not as wobbly when she walked. She has had her dental. She is a little shadow to her foster mom, as she always walks behind her and makes sure she is hard to see when her foster mom would turn around looking for her. She is always there, just moving so she stays behind her mom but a bit out of sight. But she is getting bolder.
She needed some house-training review and has been doing great. She is excited when her foster mom comes home and has started dancing with excitement to be seen and when she goes outside.
Her foster mom is hoping that someone will fall in love with her and adopt her. She is such a darling little dog and will make a great companion. She will not be placed with small children as she is very small at around 5 1/2 lbs. We are looking for someone who understands that senior dogs can still be great companions.
