Meet the Roosevelt family.. They were found walking down Roosevelt street (hence their name) one morning. Mom (Rosie) was in the lead followed by the pups (Sasha and Keisha) and dad (Rocky) was in the back. They could not be left on the street, so the car door opened to see if they would come or run away. The pups ran up to the car, with mom following. Rocky was a bit hesitant to come but a bit of food changed his mind.
They went through the stray hold with the Wichita Animal Shelter, with no one coming to claim them. They were very friendly to people and the pups loved being held and cuddled. We think they were part of the homeless dogs and cats when their owners can not keep or do not want them anymore. With no place for them to go, they become homeless “street” dogs. The closest we can come to a breed is small terrier mixes. They will be about 12 to 15 lbs.
